We have a lovely, clean facility at Making Waves, Playsport. Before visiting us for your lessons please ensure you familiarise yourself with our Terms and Conditions.
Please either cover shoes or remove all shoes completely as soon as you enter the facility. Children are most often walking in bare feet.
No photographs or videos are to be taken in the changing rooms, shower area or toilets to protect privacy.
There is strictly no eating or drinking in the changing rooms at any time.
Parents and non-swimming children must not go onto poolside at any time, we ask that you are seated in the café and not standing at the poolside toilet.
Refunds are not payable in the event of non-attendance, except in exceptional circumstances.
Changing room signs must be adhered to.
Children and other participants must stay dry prior to lessons and enter at the reception side, wet swimmers are not permitted in the café at any time and should stay on the blue flooring when exiting the pool area for non-slip.
Please provide a valid email address and mobile phone number. This is required as part of the booking process and for insurance purposes.
We always have an expectation of good behaviour on the part of accompanying adults and children.
Payment for swimming lessons is made in advance of the first class.
We operate a pay monthly system, and payment is every month, in advance of the classes. You must inform us by email to bookings@makingwavesswimming.co.uk if you wish to stop lessons, and this must be done with at least 4 weeks’ notice. Customers must inform us via email of cancellations. It is not possible to refund the full amount after this payment has been taken. Lessons that have been paid can be used or put on hold for a future booking.
Refunds are not payable in the event of non-attendance. If your child is going to miss classes for several weeks unexpectedly, for example, due to a broken arm, please let us know and we will put a hold on the booking until they are ready to return.
We advise children to wear practical swimwear: for example, shorts or trunks for boys and swimming costumes for girls. UV vests and other long legged and long-sleeved swimwear is not advisable as they limit movement and increase body temperature.
Long hair must be fastened securely and kept away from your child’s eyes and face.
Goggles are strongly recommended. We sell these at reception.
We advise that you arrive for your child’s lesson ten minutes before its scheduled start time.
Parents are not permitted to go on to poolside unless attending a class themselves. Only
instructors and swimmers are allowed on poolside.
Please do not distract the lifeguards while they are on poolside. Lifeguards wear light blue t-shirts
and shorts.
We reserve the right to amend or change our policies at any time
